This year, the Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa Most Stylish Lady at Fairyhouse was judged by Una Healy of the Saturdays, Debbie O’Donnell, Editor of Xpose and Gráinne Ross of Dunboyne Castle. I was delighted to be involved and to supply headpieces to the three style judges for the press photo shoot and for the race day at Fairyhouse.
Photoshoot at Dunboyne Castle Hotel
The photo shoot for the press release announcing the judges took place at the lovely Dunboyne Castle Hotel and Spa. Unfortunately I couldn’t be at the photo shoot due to committments in the studio so I sent up a couple of hat boxes full of options for the ladies to choose from. All of these headpieces are available to hire from the studio.
Launch of the Fairyhouse Irish Grand National
A few weeks later, the Irish Grand National and Fairyhouse Easter Festival was launched in the swish surroundings of the Hibernian Club on St. Stephen’s Green and it was lovely to meet Una and the other judges that evening and discuss all things style (and racing!)
In advance of the race day itself, it was a pleasure to work with Una’s stylist Eoin Thomas Higgins to co-ordinate her racing look. Una’s dress was by Ted Baker and she wore one of my new headpiece styles in mint green. This style has now been named the “Una” headpiece and is available here to hire in a number of different colours or to purchase in mint green or order as a bespoke colour.
The mint colour looked gorgeous on Una on the day of racing especially in the fabulous spring sunshine at Fairyhouse! Her headpiece caught the eye of the press and was mentioned in several of the papers including the Daily Mail the next day!
The other judges also wore headpieces which are available to hire from the studio.
Racing at Easter is all about family for me. Mr Roe is the General Manager of Fairyhouse Racecourse so our children have been racing since before they can remember. They had a great time this year and got to meet the President Michael D. Higgins, amongst others but their favourite highlight was meeting their very, very busy Dad!
(P.S. My teal and gold headpiece is also available to hire from the studio.)
