Hat Hire Policy
BOOKING A HEADPIECE:
What you need to do:
- Contact us to check if your chosen headpiece is available for the date of your event, using the Contact Form below, or by telephone on 086-2320601 or email to info@alisonroe.ie. In your enquiry, please provide the following information:
- Product Code of the headpiece;
- Date of the event for which it is required.
- Whether you will collect the headpiece from the studio in person or require same to be couriered.
- If it is available, it can be booked in advance of the event date on payment of the relevant HIRE FEE by you. See individual product listings for details of hire fees. All hire fees listed are based on collection of the headpiece in person from the Coach House Studio for the 3 day Hire Duration.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Credit will be given for any booking cancelled more than 7 days prior to the event date. No credit is given for cancellations within 7 days.
- Collection of hired headpieces from the Studio usually takes place on Thursdays & Fridays each week by appointment only. Customers are asked to contact us on the Monday of the week of your event to arrange a suitable collection time.
- On collection of the headpiece from the Studio, a REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT of €50 will be payable.
- In the event that the booked headpiece has not been returned from a previous hire or has been returned in a damaged condition immediately prior to your event date, a replacement headpiece will be made available to you, although it cannot be guaranteed that it will be identical to the original booked headpiece, or the Hire Fee paid by you will be refunded.
- While the preferred method of hire collection is in person from the Studio (as the hire duration is 3 days), arrangements can be made for delivery of headpieces by courier (at the discretion of Alison Roe Millinery) subject to payment of the Hire Fee, Shipping Cost and Refundable Security Deposit. In this case, the Hire Fee and shipping cost will be calculated on receipt of your enquiry and details of the duration needed etc and you will be notified of same.
- HIRE DURATION is for THREE days, if the headpiece is not returned within this period, there may be an extra charge for an extra hire, and the Refundable Security Deposit may be forfeited.
- Once a headpiece has been collected for hire, it is considered a hire, even if it not worn and there will be no refund.
- All hat boxes must be returned and in the same condition as when collected. Please do not attach tape etc to the box.
- The security deposit will be refunded on safe return of the headpiece (and hat box), provided it is returned in the same condition to that in which it was hired. In cases where there is loss of or damage (including rain damage), caused to the headpiece or if it is not returned within the 3 day hire duration, the deposit will not be refunded. While Irish weather is always unpredictable, care should be taken not to expose a hat/headpiece to the rain and it should be kept under an umbrella at all times as all hats/headpieces are very vulnerable if subjected to rain.
- If hiring by post, headpieces must be posted securely and insured to the value. Until the headpiece is received back safely to the Coach House Studio it is the responsibility of the hirer. Please do not put tape directly on the hat box if posting back & package the hat box within protective packaging.
- Most headpieces in the hire collection are unique but obviously, as the Studio also offers a Bespoke Service and a Ready-to-Wear collection for sale, it cannot be guaranteed that there will be no headpiece of similar shape at the event you attend.
